As part of the Government of Sierra Leone’s (GOSL’s) programme to promote good governance in the management of public services in order to restore efficiency and improve service delivery to the population, the UK Department for International Development (DFID) are funding reviews across all government ministries over a three-year period 2005 – 2008. These reviews are part of an integrated programme funded by DFID and delivered by Public Administration International (PAI) with its partners Co-En Consulting and supported by the International Records Management Trust (IRMT). The wider programme includes modernising the Establishment Secretary’s Office (ESO) to create a Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) and a Records Management component supported by IRMT. This report covers the Management and Functional Review (MFR) of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MFMR).
